Cancellation & Chargeback Policy
Order Cancellations
At Discount Furniture we begin processing orders quickly to ensure fast delivery and product availability. Because of this, all cancellation requests are reviewed based on the stage of the order process at the time the request is made.
Submitting a cancellation request does not guarantee that the cancellation will be approved.
Cancellation Fees
Any approved cancellation (SUBJECT TO STORE, ALL SALES FINAL) may be subject to:
- Up to a 30% restocking fee
- Return shipping fees estimated $2.50 per pound
- Original delivery charges
- Supplier cancellation fees
- Warehouse handling fees
- Credit card or merchant processing fees
- Storage fees
- Assembly or setup fees
- Any additional costs already incurred by Discount Furniture USA
Applicable fees are determined based on the status of the order, supplier policies, shipping status, and costs already incurred during the order process.
Discount Furniture USA reserves the right to determine all applicable fees associated with a canceled order.
Order Processing Stages
Cancellation eligibility depends on the current stage of the order, including but not limited to:
- Order submitted
- Supplier order placement
- Warehouse processing
- Production or customization
- Packaging and preparation
- Shipping or freight scheduling
- Delivery scheduling
- In transit or out for delivery
- Completed delivery
Once an order has entered advanced processing, shipment preparation, freight scheduling, customization, or delivery scheduling, cancellation requests may be denied or subject to additional fees.
Custom Orders & Special Orders
All custom orders, made-to-order items, personalized products, and special orders are final sale.
These items cannot be canceled, returned, exchanged, or refunded once production, supplier ordering, or customization has begun.
Examples include:
- Custom sectionals
- Custom fabrics or colors
- Made-to-order furniture
- Special order Ashley Furniture items
- Customized bedroom sets
- Mattresses
- Personalized furniture
Deposits
All deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.
Deposits are used to reserve inventory, secure supplier orders, cover processing expenses, and begin fulfillment of the order.
If a customer cancels after placing a deposit, Discount Furniture USA may retain all or part of the deposit to cover incurred costs, cancellation fees, restocking fees, supplier penalties, and processing expenses.
Returns & Refused Deliveries
ALL SALES ARE FINAL! Refused deliveries, failed delivery attempts, canceled deliveries, or returns after shipment may result in:
- Return shipping charges
- Redelivery fees
- Restocking fees
- Freight carrier charges
- Warehouse handling fees
- Storage fees
Customers are responsible for ensuring that:
- Delivery access is available
- Measurements fit prior to ordering
- Stairways, hallways, elevators, and entryways are accessible
- Someone is present to receive delivery if required
Mattresses, Clearance & Final Sale Items
For health, safety, and inventory reasons, the following items are final sale
- Mattresses
- Clearance items
- Floor models
- As-is merchandise
- Final sale items
- Customized or special order products
Financing Orders
Orders processed through third-party financing providers including:
- Acima
- Snap Finance
- American First Finance
- UOWN Leasing
- Shop Pay
- Other financing companies
remain subject to this cancellation policy.
Financing approvals may expire if purchases are not completed promptly. Approved financing does not guarantee cancellation eligibility or refund approval.
Delivery Delays & Availability
Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed and may vary due to:
- Supplier delays
- Manufacturer delays
- Shipping carrier delays
- Inventory shortages
- Weather conditions
- Freight issues
- Circumstances outside our control
Delivery delays do not automatically qualify an order for cancellation or refund.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Customers agree to contact Discount Furniture USA directly to attempt to resolve any issue before filing a chargeback or payment dispute.
By placing an order, customers acknowledge and agree to:
- The posted cancellation policy
- Restocking fees
- Delivery charges
- Supplier fees
- Processing fees
- Non-refundable deposit terms
- Final sale terms where applicable
If a chargeback or dispute is initiated for a transaction that complies with our stated policies, Discount Furniture USA reserves the right to provide supporting documentation to the payment processor, financial institution, financing company, or dispute platform, including but not limited to:
- Signed invoices
- Receipts
- Website policies
- Order confirmations
- Customer communications
- Text messages
- Emails
- Delivery confirmations
- Financing agreements
- Tracking information
- Supplier invoices
- Proof of acknowledgment of store policies
Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may be disputed to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Refund Processing
If a refund is approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method when possible.
Processing times may vary depending on:
- Credit card providers
- Financing companies
- Banking institutions
- Payment processors
Original delivery fees, expedited shipping charges, financing fees, merchant fees, and non-refundable deposits may be deducted from approved refunds where permitted.
Policy Acceptance
By placing an order with Discount Furniture USA, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Cancellation, Returns & Chargeback Policy.
